Commitments of Traders Software Compatibility :: TradeSim

While the Shatterfield Downloader does not create TradeSim files directly, it does download into a MetaStock File Format. This allows the Shatterfield data to be compatible with TradeSim, and TradeSim can access the data directly. Because the data is provided in a MetaStock file format, the COT Data is downloaded directly into the MetaStock Data subfolder:

C:\Metastock Data\COT

The files can be accessed directly by opening them, or can be accessed in an Indicator/System Test/Exploration/Expert Advisor through the Security Data Function (Found in MetaStock Professional versions 6.5 and higher, and in all MetaStock versions 8.01 and higher).
